In this episode, The three friends such as Wei Wuxian, Jiang Ching, and Nie Huaisang got caught by Lan Wangji for drinking alcohol which is forbidden in the Lan Clan. 

Wei Wuxian did a trick on Lan Wangji and let the other two friends escaped or go out of that room. Then Lan Zhan or Lan Wangji follow Wei Wuxian's order, he even drinks the alcohol and called Wei Ying a brother.

Somebody from the Lan Clan reported to the Clan leader about drinking alcohol, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji got punished with 300 whipped while Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang got 50 hits.
